Watch: Ian plays the first three hours of Skyrim Special Edition

Those of you who watched my epic Fallout 4 will remember that my character, Mrs. Henry J. Buttminster, was a community creation. Fellow Eurogamer video man Johnny Chiodini came up with the character name and the base stats but the rest of the perks – and even the avatar’s sex – were chosen by you, the viewers.

I’ll be starting a similar play through today as I tackle the first three hours of the PS4 version of Skyrim Special Edition live on our YouTube channel. This time, however, I’ll be playing as a distant ancestor of Henry J. whom I’ve decided to name Olaf Von Buttminster.

The rest of the perks and stats will again be picked at random from suggestions thrown my way in YouTube’s chat box so, if you want to play a part in the creation of Tamriel’s toughest warrior, make sure you’re watching the video below at 2pm BST.

Watch – Ian plays the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer BETA, tries not to die continuously

Hello! Normally we’d have an entertaining list video for you today – what with it being Saturday and all that – but to be honest we’ve all been surprisingly busy this week with things like , , and .

Fear not though, your Saturday will not be entirely lacking fun video stuff, because I’ll be going live at 5pm BST with a stream of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer beta.

I know, I know. It’s the Call of Duty no one really wants this year. I’ll be the first to admit I’d rather be playing a beta of Modern Warfare Remastered’s multiplayer, but you never know – this might actually be surprisingly good.

Watch: Ian plays Minecraft/Zelda mash-up Dragon Quest Builders live

Dragon Quest Builders has been out in Japan since the beginning of the year and next week marks the release of the English language version.

Dragon Quest Builders is a curious little game that, simply put, is a charming mash-up between Minecraft and Zelda. I’ll be playing ninety minutes worth of the first chapter for you today, starting at 3:30pm BST.

The first chapter of the game acts as a rather lengthy tutorial and I’ve already streamed the opening three hours on my if you want to check those out. For this stream however, I’ll be continuing on from where I left off last night and will be jumping into the game just as it starts to give the player a bit more freedom to quest and build.

Doom paid DLC dated, and Free Update 2 and double XP this weekend

The first paid Doom downloadable addition, Unto the Evil, will be out 5th August on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It will cost £12.

In Unto the Evil are three new maps – Offering, Cataclysm and Ritual – as well as a new player-controlled Harvester demon, UAC EMG Pistol, and Kinetic Mine. It also includes extra armour sets, patterns, colours and taunts for customisation, and new hack modules. There’s an ever-so-brief glimpse of the DLC at the end of the video below.

Before that, tomorrow (29th July), we’re getting Free Update 2 and a double-XP weekend, which starts 5pm BST. Free Update 2 brings a Capture and Hold mode to Sector; a one-flag CTF mode to Exodus; and hell modules, a weapon wheel and jump pads to Snapmap.
